Local Climbing Organizations
Local people are best equipped to defend their areas, as they know their environments and the challenges they face. Therefore, a fundamental part of Acceso PanAm’s work is to encourage and support local climbers in their conservation and access initiatives, inspiring the creation of local, regional, and national organizations. In addition, there are clubs, federations, mountaineering, and climbing associations throughout Latin America. Acceso PanAm has partnered with many of them to fight for the access and conservation of mountains.
Regional Directors
Since 2015, we have been working with regional directors in three countries: Chile, Argentina, and Peru (in Peru, the director also oversees other Andean countries). Currently, two directors are partially volunteers dedicated to supporting the actions of Acceso PanAm and associated organizations to improve access and conservation of mountaineering and climbing areas in their countries or regions.

For us to fulfill our mission, climbing and mountaineering equipment brands support us in different ways: sponsorships, donations, grants, mileage for tickets, and more. Our work is only possible with their vision and support.
Volunteers
We have some volunteers who work on specific projects that can last a day, a month, or years. They are mountaineers and climbers dedicated to mobilizing the community, making change, and fighting for access.
